Hi, my name is Judy. I am new to blogging so I am learning as I go. I started out making jewelry about 3 years ago. Just stringing beads and making earrings. Did that for about a year and a half and was becoming very frustrated with it. BORED!!! Then I found weaving and liked that even more. But in this economy, nothing was selling much and I got even more discouraged. Then, in May of 2011, I injured my knee and had to have surgery on it. My working days were over, after almost 40 years of nursing, taking care of other people, now I almost needed someone to take care of me! I was put on disability due to the knee and the fact that I have had Fibro for over 30 years, then found out I was severely anemic, both Iron and B12 deficient. Have had to have blood transfusions twice in the past year and take B12 shots monthly. If it wasn’t for my beading, I would have gone quietly insane these past 16 months. After raising 6 children and working all those years, sitting at home was a big change! Beading has been my life saver! Now I have discovered bead embroidery and I love it! Will still do the weaving too and have just been accepted into the Etsy Beadweavers!! Fantastic bunch of very talented women and I am humbled and honored to be considered good enough to join them.
